The BusReady Kids Facility Tour offers a fun and educational experience for children aged 3-6 to explore a BC Transit facility. During this interactive visit, kids get a behind-the-scenes look at the office, maintenance garages and, of course, the buses!
This unique experience lets children ask questions and gain an early understanding of how buses and transit systems work. Available only at our Victoria and Langford Transit Centres, the tour is open to all preschools and daycare centres upon request.
Tour Eligibility Requirements
Please ensure your preschool or daycare centre meets the following requirements before proceeding with your booking request:
- Age: For children aged 3-6 who are enrolled in a preschool or daycare centre.
- Travel: Your group must arrange transportation to the selected tour facility. BC Transit does not provide transportation for facility tours.
- Safety: All children and participants must wear a child-sized BC Transit safety vest (provided at the start of the tour) throughout the visit.
- How Often You Can Book: To give other groups a chance, preschools and daycares can book a tour once every two years.
Attendance: Each group or organization may book one tour per year, subject to availability, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 22 children. There must be 1 adult for every 5-8 children, with a maximum of 4 adults on the tour, unless additional adults are required for 1:1 child support.
What to Expect
Our Facility Tours at BC Transit offer young children an exciting glimpse into the world of public transportation. Tours take place at one of our two transit centres: the Victoria Transit Centre (520 Gorge Rd) or the Langford Transit Centre (1000 Henry Eng Pl).

Please note that late arrivals cannot join once the tour has started, as we’ll be moving through restricted areas. Also, if possible, have children wear name tags and please confirm your booking promptly to reserve your tour date.

Parking Information
We encourage groups to take transit when possible. If driving, please review these guidelines.
Victoria Transit Centre (520 Gorge Rd)
- Two visitor parking spots may be available directly outside reception, subject to availability. If you use these spots, please check in with our receptionist.
- Additional limited parking is available along Garbally Road and nearby streets.
- School buses should park on Garbally Road. Please walk children along main roads to the front entrance.
Langford Transit Centre (1000 Henry Eng Pl)
- Limited visitor parking is available outside the main doors.
- Additional parking can be found on Henry Eng Pl and nearby streets.
- School buses can enter the depot for drop-off and pick-up but are not permitted to park in our lot. Parking for school buses is available on Henry Eng Pl.
